Morphe X Jaclyn Hill Dark Magic Palette

Happy Monday Everyone!

Today I am sharing with you all a new palette I picked up from Ulta. I feel like this particular palette would be great for the Holidays. The price point is $15 which makes it a great gift for the holidays and a nice little splurge for you.

This is the first time I have tested out any Morphe products. When I swatched the colors at Ulta they seemed to be really pigmented, which is a plus in my book.

Let me know if you have tried out any Morphe products before? Any ones you recommend I should check out?

Have a great day!

A Ulta Haul

Happy Saturday Everyone!

Today I bring you yet another haul. I know I know too many hauls…  Says no one ever! I tried to space them out so you don’t feel like I go shopping ever single day. So the real reason why I went into Ulta was for foundation. I ran out of my foundation and I waited to buy it until I absolutely needed. So here is the damage I did.

A few of these things were on sale and I needed them or had wanted to try them. Overall I won’t be doing much shopping in the next few months so I think all of the things I bought will be used up and not go to waste.

What are some of your favorite products that you purchase at Ulta?

Have a great day!

A Haul: Ulta and CVS

Happy Monday Everyone!

Today I have a small haul from Ulta and CVS. I wanted to pick up a few things that have recently been released. I don’t do this often so I wanted to share with you all some of the goodies I picked up. A few of the things have been out for a while, but I am just tad bit slow at trying them out, whoops! I hope you enjoy!

Let’s start off with the few things I picked up from CVS. I picked up a few items from Milani because they were having a buy one get one 50% off. I picked up a blush in Bella Rosa and I am highly impressed by the pigmentation and lasting power. I also picked up a few lip products a lip liner in All Natural and a Lipstick in Plumrose. I also picked up a brow pencil in Dark Brown to see if it was comparable to the Hourglass Brow Sculpting Pencil.

Lastly I picked up these face masks that I found on my way out. I thought they sounded interesting and for $9.99 they weren’t a bad price. We shall see if they actually work and how well my skin takes them.

Next are the things I picked up from Ulta. I saw this EOS lip balm set and I had to buy it to try out the Vanilla Bean Smooth Stick (a review coming soon). The next product was the NYX Dark Circle Concealer. This reminds me of the Benefit Erase Paste, but we shall see how well it works I don’t have super high hopes but who knows.

The real reason why I went to ULTA these two beauties right here. The Tarte Tartlette Matte Palette and the realTechniques Bold Metals Blush brush. These were a small little valentine’s day treat for me and I am so glad I went ahead and treated myself to them (reviews coming soon).

I hope you all enjoyed everything I picked up! I am so excited to try and use all of these products and write reviews for all of you. Let me know which review you would like to see first?

Have a great Day & I will see you on  Wednesday!

Lorac: Solid Gold & Platinum Status Eye Shadow Palettes

I have recently fallen in love with Lorac. I purchased a palette off of Hautelook and was instantly hooked. My best friend has raved about the Pro Palette and how amazing the eye shadows are. I told myself that after buying the Urban Decay Naked Palette 2 I would not buy any more “big palettes”. I was shopping at Ulta and came upon these beauties for a fraction of the price. These are colors that I don’t think the Naked 1 or 2 have and if they do Oh WELL, these are more travel friendly.

These will be the last purchase of eye shadow palettes I do in a long time. I have to start saving for my trip to France. I also picked a few extra for christmas gifts, too early? Whoops! I got carried away thinking about the holidays.

Lora Platinum Status $12.00
-This palette includes 5 cool, captivating eye shadows shades.

If I could have only picked up one of these palettes I would have picked this one. The colors are beautiful and aren’t as sheer on your lid. I think this is a good holiday palette for those interested in creating softer plum looks.

Lorac Solid Gold $12.00
-This palette includes 5 glamorous, warm eye shadows shades.

I was a bit disappointed in this particular palette. I felt that with such amazing colors you have to work at getting the color to show up. I think this palette is probably best used with a base. I’m not saying it’s not a good palette but you aren’t getting Urban Decay quality here.

The packaging isn’t anything special either, it has magnetic closure to prevent the lid from opening up in your purse/ makeup bag.

Do you own any LORAC products?

I will see you all on Friday!

Review: Real Techniques duo-fiber collection

Recently I went through my brush collection and threw out some brushes that were past their usage. It took me some time to find the right brushes to replace my old ones. I ended up picking up two real technique brush collections from Ulta the other day.

I decide to review this particular kit for you all because it is limited edition and I am excited to have a few duo-fiber brushes in my collection.

This kit can be found at Ulta for $19.99. I am not sure if there are any other places you can get this particular kit I haven’t had luck finding any other stores that carry it.

This kit contains the following brushes:

duo-fiber face brush: Which can be used for a lightweight application + blending of face powder or pigments.

duo-fiber contour brush: Which can be used for controlled contouring + sculpting.

duo-fiber eye brush: Which can be used to blend out eye shadow + adding finishing touches to the eyes.

These brushes are extremely soft and have not shed on me yet. These brushes are more geared towards using them to finish your makeup look. The face brush is great for blending out your blush or your powder to avoid sharp lines. Also if you wanted to use a light hand on a certain product these brushes would be perfect for that task. The contour brush is great to apply a light hand of bronzer or blush (Perfect for those highly pigmented blushes in your collection). The eye brush is great at blending out all of the eye shadows you have placed on your eyes. I have also used this brush to apply a light wash of my crease color (if I’m going for a softer look).

Overall I think they are great brushes to have in your collection. If you do the math these brushes come out to $6.67 each. You can’t beat the price for the quality that you are receiving in this kit. If you have something similar or you don’t see your self needing them I would skip them and check out the core collection that they have.
