Things I am loving this Spring

IMG_0658

Happy Monday Everyone!

Today I am sharing with you a few things I have been loving this Spring. When the weather changes I try and pick a few things that make me happy and I try and incorporate them into my daily routine. These can be anything from Makeup to fashion items. Here are the things that I have been rocking this spring.

Sometimes you have to go back to a oldie but a goodie and that’s exactly what these sandals are. I molded them last Spring and Summer to my feet and when the weather started getting warmer I jumped at the idea of wearing them again. I picked these up at Target last season.

A bright pop of color is always a must when we think about the seasons changing! This clutch/ cross body embodies everything I want Spring to be. My mom picked this up for me on one of her many flee market outings.

This Milani Palette is just the right amount of color that my face can handle right now. Normally I try and slowly incorporate more color into my looks and this palette keeps my favorite variety of neutrals with enough color for me to play with.

Last but not least is this Essence Lipstick from their new summer line. I love how bright this is, but the cool thing is that you can apply a light layer if you just dab it on your lips. This is a lipstick that will be used all throughout the summer as well.

What are your Spring Favorites? Have you tried o the products that I mentioned?

Have a great day and I will see you on Friday!

Lazy Spring Nails: not made by me.

IMG_0560

Happy Monday Everyone!

I have always loved a great manicure and have been a fan of any intricate design that anyone can create. As you all know I don’t have that much time on my hands and if i can  find some time to paint my nails once a week that is a victory in my eyes.

The other day I tried out the Sally Hansen Salon effects real nail polish strips. I had tried them before when they first came out and I remember enjoying them but not being the best at applying them. This go around I tried to remember what I had done wrong and tried again.

IMG_0552

The pattern I choose was Spring Fever as it is Spring and I felt it would be very fitting for this week. As you will see in the next pictures the application isn’t too terrible, but it’s not as easy as painting your nails.

Overall I guess if I wanted something fancier on my nails I would definitely go for these nail strips. There is no way I could recreate this on my nails. Again the application isn’t perfect, but for what I need them to do they will work just fine.

Have you ever tried any nail polish strips?  Are you a fan?

Have a great day and I will see you on Wednesday .

April Favorites 2015

IMG_0570

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Where has April gone off too?! I feel like it was here and then it left. I honestly feel like this was filled with highs and lows for me, but in the end it was a great month overall. I am excited for May to appear and for more spring weather. I hope everyone had a great month and that you are looking forward to May.

IMG_0571

Now let’s talk about a few things I couldn’t live without this month.

IMG_0572

IMG_0573

This month I tried to keep my makeup simple and focused on the weather change and what that is going to mean for my current makeup routine. This powder is amazing paired with any of my favorite foundations. It leaves me matte and shine free for a good solid couple of hours and it makes my skin look flawless.

IMG_0574

For lip products I rotated between these three products. Yes that Chapstick was a viable option on days I didn’t have time to put on a lipstick. As you can see the colors were very neutral and wearable!

IMG_0578

IMG_0576

For the past couple of months I have been making sure I always apply a eye cream. I realized this month that the one i’m currently using is almost gone and in all honesty I absolutely love it.

IMG_0579

My skin has been so much better this month and most of my dark spots from where I had acne are almost gone. I have a few spots left and this concealer works beautifully at covering any remaining spots.

IMG_0580

I don’t know about you, but when I paint my nails I want them to last and recently I have gone back to a favorite drugstore top coat. This isn’t the best I have used but it does the job without breaking the bank and leaves your nails super shiny.

Very plain and boring favorites I know, but this month has been extra special due to other exciting happening in my life that it felt right to keep all my makeup favorites true staples.

What are some of your favorite products this month?

Have a great day and I will see you on Friday!

My Go To Breakfast As Of Lately.

IMG_0541

Happy Monday Everyone!

I am going to be honest I have never been a morning person and I would rather sleep as late as I can at any given time. Often time this meant skipping breakfast and just having a Brunch type of meal later on in my day. As I have gotten older and have started acquiring many more adult responsibilities I have realized the importance of walking up early and having a good healthy breakfast.

Today I am sharing with you my go to breakfast. I have taken this idea from Ms. Marissa Lace she also has a fitness Instagram that is very motivational as well. I saw that in her daily vlogs and instagram pictures she kept talking about a scramble. You may be saying what the heck is a scramble? It is a yummy and filling breakfast.

IMG_0528

Here is what you will need to make it:

-Egg Whites

-A whole Egg

-Hash Browns

-Zucchini

-Cheese

If you are counting your macros make sure you find the right amount of all of the ingredients that work for you. I have adapted this to fit my morning and the macros I want to hit.

I hope you enjoyed this quick and simple recipe and trust me this taste amazing, better than what you might think.

This cake was one of the hardest ones I made and trust me I have made some pretty difficult ones. This one has a ton of ingredients and it’s not for the faint of heart when it comes to the sugar intake. Overall I would make this again if I have the time, ingredients and energy. The end result is wonderful and most people seemed to enjoy how every single ingredient came together to create a delicious cake.

Have you ever tried a pinterest recipe? Any recipes you love?

Have a great weekend and I will see you on Monday!
