My January Favorites – 2015

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

I can’t believe January is coming to a close so soon?! Where did this month go? For todays post I am going to share with you all what I have been loving this month. I have found some new favorite products and some that I have given a second chance. I feel like I have a good mix of things that really caught my eye this month.

Let’s start off with an oldie that I had sort of forgotten I owned and have been using religiously these past 31 days. It’s the e.l.f Acne Fighting Foundation. This stuff has the most insane coverage and glides on so smoothly over my skin. I am glad I rediscovered this product.

The next product is a new perfume. I normally only buy/try new perfumes out when I have run out of a current favorite. I ran out of my Coach Poppy and I procrastinated a few weeks on getting another one. I randomly saw this at TJ Maxx and picked it up and decided to give a try. This is a very Rosie scent and it last longer than I was expecting.

The next product is one that I cannot stop using. It has impressed me with its versatility and pigmentation. It is the e.l.f. Blush Palette in dark. This palette is one of my most reached for products currently because it is so easy to pick a blush that matches all of my looks. You really can’t beat this palette for $6.

I have three lip favorites and they are all pretty neutral in terms of color. The first one is the NYX butter gloss in Tiramisu. This color is one that I don’t have to think about. The next one is Rimmel London Show Off Lip Lacquer in Celestial. This is a bit more pink than the NYX butter gloss but still super wearable for every day. The last lip product is a but more bold. I did a blog post on it and you can check it out here. It is the Rimmel London Lasting Finish Colour Rush Long Lasting Intense Colour Balm in Viva Violet.

The next favorite is a brush which I picked up earlier this month. I also made a blog post on this brush and you can read more about it here. It is the realTechniques Sculpting Brush and it is one of my favorite brushes.

This month my lips have suffered from sever drying and they have been getting chapped all month-long. There is only one product I swear by to help my lips heal and it is the Burts Bees Beeswax Lip Balm. This stuff is sent from the lip gods I tell you!

Lat but not least is a face mask that I have been meaning to try and I finally found it at TJ Maxx. It is the Hollywood, California Glam Glow Supermud Clearing Treatment. This stuff is amazing it doesn’t break me out and it helps my skin get rid off all the excess oil and junk that is left behind. This mask might be my all time favorite discovery.

What were your favorite products this month? Any you would recommend?

Have a great Weekend and get ready for V-day post starting this Friday and in February.

See you all on Friday for a special sweet treat post.

Viva Violet : Rimmel Lasting Finish Colour Rush Intense Balm Review

Happy Friday Everyone!

I am so glad that it’s Friday! I have been working like crazy and have been trying to finish up my grad school applications at the same time. Not to mention that I have manged to go to the gym and get 6+ hours of sleep some days. In all honesty this week has been hard and I am so glad it’s over. Normally during weeks like this I don’t find anything that blows my mind, but this week I found a amazing lip product and color that just had me speechless.

The lip product is the Rimmel Lasting Finish Colour Rush Intense Colour Balm in Viva Violet . This is the perfect bright purpley pink. It is bold enough to make a statement and brighten up a simple makeup look. The real surprise is how long-lasting this color was! I wore it to work and applied it at 8:30am then had breakfast at 9:30am and didn’t really bother to check on it. I figured it would be a light stain on my lips. I went to the bathroom at noon and to my surprise the lip color was still standing strong. I had a salad for lunch at 1pm and by then I was suer the lip color would have worn off completely and believe it or not some of it had, but I still had the most flattering, bright lip stain left. Most of my other lip products would have ben long gone by 9:45am and this one need to be retouched mid day which is a win in my book.

Have you ever tried any of these Rimmel Intense Balms? What is your fav. long-lasting lip product?

I hope you have a great Weekend!

See you on Monday!
