Youtuber’s Made Me Buy it: Smashbox + Casey Holmes Spotlight Palette – Gold

Happy Monday Everyone!

Today I am starting a new series where I share with you some of my new purchases that I made solely on the fact that I wanted to support a youtuber. The youtuber I am talking about this time is Casey Holmes a beauty vlogger based from GA. She partnered with Smashbox for a awesome collaboration on two highlighter palettes. I picked up the gold Spotlight Palette because I thought that would suit my skin tone best. In the next few days I will be sharing a look I created inspired by this palette.

I am so excited to have this highlight palette in my life it’s such a nice travel palette to have. There are three different types of highlighter for any look you want to create. Stay tune for a more in depth review in the next weeks.

Have a great weekend!

Review: Tarteist Lip Wardrobe Duo

Happy Monday Everyone!

Today I am reviewing this awesome lip kit by Tarte. I picked it up a few weeks ago and I have been in love with how fitting both of the colors are for fall. Sadly this sold out online, but I did see this at my local Sephora. I’m going to take a wild guess and say that maybe a few  other  physical store may still have this kit available if you are interested in it.

This kit includes:

-Tarteist Lip Paint in Namaste

-Tarteist Glossy Lip Pain in WCW

I absolutely love how unique this lip paint is. At first the color seemed weird and I thought it wasn’t going to work with my skin tone. After trying it out I absolutely love how it looks on my lips. It’s not a every day color for me, but it’s nice to have in my collection to play around with. It doesn’t dry out my lips and it stays on for a really long time without you having to reapply.

How pretty is this lip gloss color? It just screams Fall. I love how easy it is to apply and how pigmented it is. The only downside is that it’s not long wearing and if you eat or drink anything the vibrant color is gone and you are left with a faint stain on your lips.

Overall if you are looking to try out this new range of lip products from Tarte I would highly suggest trying to track this kit down.

Butter London: Royal Navy Nail Lacquer

Happy Monday Everyone!

Slowly but surely Fall is finally making it’s presence all around us. Fall happens my favorite time of year and I love how the trees change around us and how the weather gets a bit crisper and you don’t feel like you are dying from the heat.

One of my favorite things about fall is changing the bright nail colors that I use into the deeper darker colors. I was recently at Marshall’s and found that they had a few Butter London nail polishes for $4.99 and if you know anything about Butter London Nail polishes they retail for three times that price unless you find a really good sale.

I am proud to say this is my first Butter London Nail polish and I absolutely love the quality and the way they apply on the nails. This particular color is very dark but in the light you can see the navy color really stand out. I have a feeling this polish is going to be one I grab over and over this Fall and Winter.

Have you ever tried Butter London Nail Lacquers? What is your favorite color?

Have a great start to your week! I will see you on Friday!

Wish List #1

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Today I am sharing with you a few items I am lusting over! I can’t justify spending the money on them, but maybe I will get lucky and get them for my birthday (hint, hint, it’s in August).

Blog 1

H&M Jumpsuit in Jersey: I am all about being casual and comfortable and one of my new favorite things to wear are jumpsuits. This one is casual enough that I can run around town in, but with the right accessories I can dress it up.

Express Marble Nep Knit & Crepe Tee: I feel in love with this piece the moment I saw it in the store! I couldn’t justify paying full price so I stalk it online hoping it goes on sale!

J.Crew Factory Crossed – Back Drapey Top: The other day I was looking in my closet and noticed that I don’t own any solid red tops. This one is so versatile that I could mix and match with anything!

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water: I have heard people raving about this new primer water and how it works. I guess I am curious to see how it work for me.

H&M Woven Top: I am a huge fan of stripes and this shirt is casual, but can be dressed if needed. I envision this styled with a pair of shorts and some converse sneakers.

Tarte Poppy Picnic limited-edition Amazonian Clay Eye & Cheek Palette: I know I don’t need any more eye shadow palettes, but this one is too cute not share with you all.

My Favorite Hair Products

Happy Friday Everyone!

Today I am sharing my top hair products I cannot live without! This list of hair products has been in the making for a few years. I have tried so many products and have found a few that I love and many that just didn’t work out for me.

I am excited to have this list  of products since I feel like my hair isn’t too difficult to deal with, but a little help from a product when it comes to styling is a must for me. My hair is straight and a bit oily after I have second day hair. I air dry my hair and sometimes I do blow dry it when I am in a hurry. I have never colored my hair so it’s always been au natural.

The first product is my all time favorite dry shampoo. Batiste has knocked all other off the grid. Occasionally I will use a different one and I always seem to come back to this one, because it’s simply amazing.

The next product is my all time favorite deep conditioner. I use this Aussie 3 minute miracle conditioner every other day (or when I wash my hair). This keeps my hair feeling soft and it helps it remain healthy without breaking my bank.

For the day that I want to heat style my hair I use either one of these heat protectants. I have a drugstore option which is the TRESemme Thermal Creations Heat Tamer. If I have an extra couple of bucks I will splurge on the Blow Pro heat is on protective daily primer. Both are amazing at protecting  my hair from heat damage.

This product is definitely not a necessity, but when I want my hair to look extra shiny I spray this Oro Fluido Shine Spray. This is the perfect way to finish a hair style not only does it make your hair look incredibly healthy it adds a healthy shine that people will notice.

I feel like oils have been super popular these past couple of years. I use this coconut oil after I get out of the shower and it makes my hair super soft and it works as a conditioner to have soft manageable hair. This product smells amazing and it’s a nice little treat for your hair.

I hope you all enjoyed my favorite hair products. I know this is a very personal topic because everyone’s hair is very unique and different. These are the products that work for me and I just wanted to share them with you.

What is your favorite hair product?

Have a great weekend! I will see you on Monday!

High-End Moisturizers – Face & Eyes

This past month my skin has been going through a “rough” stage. My eczema was a bit crazy and my skin was so dry that I stayed away from mirrors because I would just see flaky skin, Yuck! For those thinking yes I did try a exfoliant, but you can only exfoliate so much until my face and my eczema hated me :(. With that little ramble out-of-the-way I come to this post. I decided that I would treat myself last month to some new skin care goodies at Sephora. I saved a few bucks and decided to look into high-end moisturizer for my face and my eyes. Here is what I picked up.

I picked up this set of OLE HENRICKSEN products which can be see here . The ladies at my sephora really loved these products and said that they should be good to use on my skin. So far this is okay I am not super trilled, but I feel I need to use the products a while longer to be able to review them properly.

The real reason I saved up money was for a proper moisturizer for my eyes. My under eyes are the ones my eczema attacks first and leaves that area looking really flaky and dull. One of the ladies that worked at Sephora spent 10 minutes explaining to me what this plasma does. It basically eats away dead skin and leaves a smooth canvas without harming the under eyes. The only downside is that you can only use this once a day and it’s only for the under eye area! You can check it out here .

Overall I think I am going to be sticking with my drugstore moisturizer, but I will be repurchasing the PERRICONE MD Blue Plasma Orbital since it has been doing a really good job with my under eyes.

Any drugstore recommendations you all like? Have you ever splurged on a high-end moisturizer?
