My Halloween Costume 2015: Zombie Wife

Happy Halloween Eve/Friday Everyone!

Today I am sharing with you my halloween costume. For the past two years I have been perfecting my zombie characters. Last year I was a New Year Eve Zombie and this year I am zombie wife with elegant pearls and no husband. Most people tend to buy the pre-made wounds and that’s all fine and dandy until you reach the register and you spent $50 bucks on just wounds and nothing else.

I like to go the cost effective route and thrift my outfit for my costume and create my own wounds and scars. I won’t go step by step by check out this video Michelle Phan made on how to achieve this look.

What you will need:

-Liquid Latex

-Fake Blood

-A red lipstick

-A black lipstick

-Foundation to match your skin

-Toilet paper or tissues

-Various purple and brown shadows

-One to two make up brushes

At this point I hadn’t added the gel fake blood yet but I tried to add as much dimension to myself as possible before completing my look.

Add dry shampoo to your hair and tease it until it looks like you were attacked and dragged while still keeping your dress crisp and clean. I also added wounds to my arms and legs for a full affect.

What are you dressing up as? I’m curious let me know!

I hope everyone has a wonderful halloween and that everyone is safe!

I will see you on Monday!

October Favorites & Halloween Recap

Happy Monday Everyone!

I hope everyone had a AMAZING weekend! November is in full swing and I wanted to share with you all some of my most reached for products. Before I do that I want to talk about Halloween. I normally don’t celebrate Halloween and that means I don’t have any experience with dressing up. That all change on Friday night because I went to a Halloween party and dressed up as a glamourous zombie (see pictures below). I had so much fun getting ready with my friend before the party and we may or may not have listen to Taylor Swifts new album 1989. I can see why this a well liked holiday and I definitely enjoyed it.

Now on to my favorites shall we. I don’t have a ton of products but these few stuck out to me and I wanted to tell you all about them.

UD Naked Basics Palette 2

Ever since I picked this up it has become one of my favorite palettes for everyday wear. I absolutely love Cover and Stark they go perfect together for a very simple eye look. I feel like this palette is going to be a favorite for a long time because of the versatility it brings to my makeup routine.

L.A Colors GRAFiX eyeliner

I picked this up in the middle of October for $2 I honestly though it was going to be a fail of a product , but I still wanted to give it a shot. I was itching for a new eyeliner, but wasn’t too impressed with my past purchases and I didn’t want to waste my money again. A two dollar eyeliner seemed like a great compromise I could try it and say liquid eyeliner is not for me and move on. Boy was I wrong I like how intense this product is and not to mention the staying power on this bad boy is worth more than the two dollars I paid.

Pixi Correction Concealer in Brightening Peach

I have had this concealer for a while now and it always just sits in my makeup drawer not being used. This month that changed and I decided to try this on my blemishes. This does a great job at covering my acne scaring without making me look cakey and overly done.

Sleek Blush in Flushed

This blush is what I think of when someone mentions of Fall and makeup. This looks super intense in the package and it is i’m not going to say it’s not, but when applied with a really fluffy blush brush this gives me the perfect flush of color I need. I am obsessed and I don’t think I will switch my blush for a while.

I hope you all enjoyed my October favorites and my mini recap of what I did for halloween.

What did you dress up as? Are you a Halloween fan? Any fav. beauty products you would recommend?

Have a great start to your week!

See you on Wednesday!

Simple Halloween Nails

Happy Halloween Everyone!

It’s Friday and we are one step closer to the weekend! It also happens to be Halloween and this girl has two halloween party to go to tonight and that means I will be slaving over turning myself into a Zombie. Crossing my fingers that everything goes well, if it all blows up in my face I’ll just squirt myself with fake blood and call it a day! I also want to note that I am sitting at work dressed up as a bee, yep this is my life.

I wanted to share my super simple manicure for this evening. I am no nail artist and this seemed so traditional and appropriate for the office. I still have to work before I get my zombie on so no crazy nails here (that would scare my clients and that’s a no no!). The plus side is that these nail took me no time at all and I had all the colors in my collection, Win!

Have a happy and safe Halloween Everyone!

Enjoy your weekend!

See you on Monday.
