e.l.f Shimmering Highlight Powder -Starlight Glow

IMG_0553

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

Today I am sharing a first impression on this e.l.f. Shimmering Highlight Powder in Starlight Glow. I have been trying to branch out from all of my high-end highlighters and give some drugstore brands a try. Off the bat I had heard some pretty good things about the e.l.f highlighters. The price is very affordable ($6) for what you are getting and I wanted to see for myself what all this talk was about.

What e.l.f states about this highlight: This lightweight, versatile pressed shimmer highlighting powder helps amplify your natural radiance with a refined glow. Microfine particles blur lines to create a soft focus effect on the skin. Designed to highlight and reflect light for a luminous, photo-ready finish.

They have 7 other shades available in this same formula, you can shop them here. Overall I like that I can build this highlight up as much as I want and can wear it on a every day basis without feeling like I look like a disco ball.

I am really curious to check out the other shades that they have available for this bronzer. I definitely see this bronzer staying in my makeup routine for a little while longer.

Have you tried this particular bronzer? Any drugstore highlighters you recommend I should try?

Have a great day!

Like I mentioned in my other beauty box review you can’t beat the price that these boxes retail for. It’s like buying one of the full size products and getting the rest of the box for free. I love that Target has made these available for those of us that like to try new products, but don’t have the money to spend on full size beauty products.

What do you all think of these beauty boxes?

Have a great weekend see you on Monday!

April Beauty Favorites 2018

IMG_0256

Happy Monday Everyone!

Today I am sharing with you my April favorites. I am excited that the warm weather is one step closer here in Northern Virginia. As you can see a few of my favorite things have that warm weather in mind.

IMG_0255

This month I was on a liquid lip kick and I am so excited about the new additions I have added to my makeup collection. They are definitely going to be a staple for the Summer months.

IMG_0257

First off let me tell you about a new brush set collection that I picked up off a random app. I will be doing a full review on these + a giveaway. These brushes are too good to not gift them to one of my readers.

IMG_0259

I finally switched up my concealers to something much more friendly to my wallet. Both of these drugstore concealers are the perfect mix to give me that “I slept 9+ hours last night” look. They aren’t drying or overly hydrating where they cause creasing.

IMG_0260

I hit pan on my beloved Tarte bronzer and I needed to find a cheaper alternative. I stumbled upon this face powder from Black Radiance and it gives me that beautiful natural bronzy look without breaking the bank. The only down side is that you get so much fall out from this product.

IMG_0261

I am obsessed with liquid lipsticks! I have already reviewed the Palladio X Case Holmes collection, which you can check out here. I will be reviewing the Jordana Sweet Cream Matte collection in the next week or so, but all I can say is that it is my new current favorite.

IMG_0263

Last but not least it’s this intensive foot mask that was much needed. I don’t really have time to pamper myself, but I try and take at least 20 minutes twice a day to do something nice for myself. This month that has been a foot mask + a face mask simultaneously and a episode of my favorite TV show Cloud Nine.

What are some of your April Beauty Favorites? Anything in particular you suggest me trying out?

Have a great day and I will see you on Wednesday.

PalladioxCaseyHolmes Liquid Lipsticks

IMG_0203

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Today I am reviewing a new liquid lipstick collaboration. It is the Palladio x Casey Holmes liquid lipsticks. Casey Holmes teamed up with Palladio beauty and she came out with three new liquid lipsticks. These liquid lipsticks retail for $10 each and available at Sally Beauty Supply and online here and here.

As you all know I am a huge liquid lipstick fan and when I saw the collaboration was announced I knew I had to get my hands on all three shades.

IMG_0202

The Packaging is clear plastic and it allows you to see the true color of the product. She picked three very wearable shades that work on a variety of different skin tones.

What they claim these liquid lipsticks do:

-a transfer-proof finish and unbelieveably long wear

-lightweight and rich matte colors that glide on effortlessly

IMG_0168

Georgia – peachy-nude.

IMG_0194

Ob-sessed- a rich berry.

IMG_0176

Rescue- A warm taupe.

IMG_0196

These liquid lipsticks aren’t the most long wearing I have tried. They do stay on longer than most others. If you don’t eat a salad or something messy you may get away with not having to touch up. When I’ve worn all three colors I’ve had to touch up the corners of my mouth, but nothing else.

I would recommend these if you are in the marker for new liquid lipsticks.

Have you tried these out yet? Are you a fan of Palladio Beauty?

Have a great day! See you all on Friday.

My Current Primers

IMG_9706

Happy Friday Everyone!

Today I am sharing with you three primers that I use on my face on a daily basis. As a oily skinned girl I have to make sure that I use products that help my skin retain all of moisture and makeup products I put on my face. If I am going to spend 30+ minutes on a full face of makeup I want it to stick around for a while.

IMG_9709

For the face:

Soap and Glory One Heck of A Blot Instant Perfecting Power Primer

NYX Pore Filler

For the Eyes:

Wet n Wild Eyeshadow Primer

IMG_9711

This trio has been doing amazing things with for my skin and my makeup. I think I finally found three bases that help keep my makeup on longer. If you are in the market for a new primer and have a similar skin type like mine you might want to check these out. Luckily they are all extremely affordable.

What is you current go to face primer? Have you tried any of the ones I currently use?

Have a great weekend. See you all on Monday!

Wet n Wild -Micellar Cleansing Water

IMG_9698

Happy Monday Everyone!

Today I am sharing a review on this Micellar cleansing water. I have been using this product for the past couple of weeks after I ran out of my normal Micellar cleansing water. I really wanted to love this product because it affordable and you can pick it up at any local drugstore.

IMG_9703

The main reason why I don’t like this product is that it’s 50% oil and 50% cleansing water. The direction states that you need to shake well before use. Other than the oily residue that is left on my skin this micellar water really takes off all your makeup.

IMG_9688

IMG_9690

IMG_9689

IMG_9692

Overall I think you can find something that’s a bit more affordable and that has more product that does not leave you with that oily residue that no one wants after they cleanse their face.

Have you tried this Wet n Wild -Micellar Cleansing Water? What are your thoughts?

Have a great day and I will see you on Wednesday
