A Birthday Celebration: Casual Dress

Happy Monday Everyone!

Today I am sharing with you a few photos I took while celebrating my friends birthday. She celebrated her 25th birthday with me and I was truly honored she decided that I would be the best person to spend her special day with! We grabbed food at one of my favorite places which happens to be an hour away from where we live. A rod trip was a must and who better to share a long car ride with than with a birthday girl!

This is the lovely birthday girl! Can you believe she is 25?!!!!

What I wore:

Belt: Goodwill

8 o’clock on Friday Night

Happy Friday Everyone!

My intention for this post was for it to be a outfit post, but that didn’t go so well so here is a snippet of last Friday Night. I am making a conscious effort to spend time with all of my closet friends and enjoy good food in the process. Oh and good drinks that have great names to them.

Romper: F21      Sandals: Target     Earrings: Walmart

I promise I will eventually get better at these outfit post. I just have to get over how awkward I look and feel when posing.

Are you a fan of Rompers?

I hope you all have a great Friday! & I will see you on Monday.

Buildyourtomorrow. = Target + TOMS.

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Let me tell you walking pneumonia is no joke. I have been in my house for way to long so I took an unscheduled trip to target in hoped that my lungs would feel better. In reality it was so I could pick up a few things I needed/wanted, but mostly didn’t really need. One of those items happened to be this gorgeous clutch from the Target + TOMS collection. I am so excited to see this collaboration happening. I love what TOMS stands for and the fact that I could get in my car and actually buy TOMS things was incredible. Most of the time I have to drive an hr or so to get anything limited edition/ worth lusting for.

I saw this clutch and I knew it had to come home with me! I love the saying it has and the fact that this clutch is very “casual” with the two tones of brown will make it perfect for those days I don’t want to carry a purse. It is the perfect size for my everyday essentials. I also purchased the stoneware tall mug and the glass double wall hot and cold beverage bottle.

What do you think of the Target + TOMS collection? Are you a fan of TOMS?

Enjoy your Wednesday!

See you on Friday.

“I don’t know why you don’t take me downtown anymore.”

Happy Monday Everyone!

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend! I got to have a relaxing saturday filled with Halloween costume planning and running some errands. On Sunday I was lucky enough to be able to celebrate one of my best friends 25th birthday. We drove to another city to enjoy a late breakfast/lunch and just spend some nice quality time together.

We managed to find a little corner in the downtown mall that we went to and we were able to take some pictures of what we wore. It ended up being a beautiful Sunday filled with good food, great Chai and lots of good conversation.

Enjoy the post.

Style Saturday: Polka dots and boots

Happy Saturday Everyone!
I am so excited to be bringing you a cute/stylish (let’s hope so) outfit of the day. I will try to pick one outfit a week to show you and hopefully get more suggestions on how to use each piece.

Excuse the hair I had a lot of things going on and just wasn’t feeling putting it up. That meant my hair was natural and free which made me like this outfit even more, go figure!

These are the booties I featured in this post and I had been really scared of wearing them. I did wear them with tights and a skirt but that has been done plenty of times. I wanted to play with them with pants for a more comfortable look. Since I am so short (5’0 ft) I rolled up them a tiny bit so the outfit didn’t make me look like a 5-year-old (this happens a lot).

I have to confess that I am completely lost on how to style these boots they are a weird height and they really don’t flatter my legs when worn with regular jeans. Style is about trying new things that make you come out of your comfort zone right? So why not start with booties *what I kept telling myself*.

How would you rock each piece? Any ideas you would like to give me?

OOTD: Polka Dots -Day 18

Welcome back it’s finally Friday! Yay! Let the weekend start. Today I have a very cute outfit of the day for you all. Super simple but very comfortable and cute.

So there is a story as to why you are looking at my grill and a green rug in this picture. I normally move stuff around when I take my outfits of the day so you can just focus on the outfit not the background junk. I was getting ready to move this stuff and one of my neighbors was walking his dog and saw that I was taking pictures of myself. He proceeded to scream and sing and make me super uncomfortable. I ended up getting too scared to move anything and just took the pictures and went back inside. I watched him come back past my house again and he was looking for me, but luckily I was in the comfort of my own home and away from him. Again I apologize for the mess in the background.
