Da Apothecary Calming Herbal Steam

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Today I am sharing with you this Calming Herbal Steam I found at TJ Maxx. I have been trying to give my face a little bit more TLC because my skin has been acting out due to the drastic temperature change her in Northern Virginia.

I first found out about Herbal Steams when I went and got a facial a few months ago. The mixture of the Herbal Steam + the heat opened up my pores and allowed for my skin to release the toxins out. It was also very calming and a nice little treat. I decided I wanted to find a Calming Herbal Steam to try at home. Luckily, I found this at TJ Maxx and I really like it.

This Calming Herbal Steam has been such a fun way to test out more unique products that I normally wouldn’t try out. I am excited to see what other products I can try using the steam tent methods.

Do you ever shop for beauty and skincare products at TJ Maxx?

Have a great day and I will see you on Friday.

My Favorite High-end Highlighters

IMG_0253

Happy Monday Everyone!

This past weekend I went to a local beauty convention and it got me thinking about how when I started my makeup journey I didn’t know how to distinguish between what kind of product was going to work with my skin and the products that the beauty gurus were “selling me”. I am easily steered into peer pressure and ended up buying product that completely sucked. If I had to tell my younger self what products I should be investing in I would want her to know this about high-end highlighters.

IMG_0237

Highlighting can be such a intimidating thing so start with a versatile product that will give you more bang for your buck. I do have to point out that the highlights I mention come from my collection and there are plenty of other great highlights, but these are the ones I wish I knew about sooner.

IMG_0247

The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette will provide you all you need until you are ready to move onto a more power punching highlight. This palette has three shades that can be used all over the skin. It’s soft enough to be worn every day and can be built upon each other to create a more dramatic look for school dances and parties.

IMG_0241

The Fenty Beauty Killawatt highlight is a next level highlighter. It brings two different tones that allow you to mix and create a really show stopping look. The Mean Money highlighter can be worn every day and if you mix it with Hu$tla Baby it creates a really show stopping look.

IMG_0243

This Dose of Colors Highlighter by the Desi X Katy is one of my absolute favorites. This highlighter look a bit dark in the pan, but when applied to my skin it’s absolutely stunning. If I build it up it definitely is a show stopper.

I hope you all enjoyed this blog post style.

Let me know what other beauty product I should do next?

Have a great weekend and I will see you all on Monday!

April Lifestyle Favorites 2018

IMG_0267

Happy Friday Everyone!

Today I am sharing with you all my April Lifestyle favorites. This month I had a different variety of favorites spanning from earrings to a keychain and my favorite pen, which is the Pilot Precise V5 0.5mm. I want to start sharing more lifestyle things on my blog and I figured that a start would be my monthly lifestyle favorites.

IMG_0265

If you have any suggestions on what else you would like to see, please leave it down in the comment below?

IMG_0270These are my most worn pair of earrings this month and they were extremely inexpensive. The silver pair is from Kohl’s and the gold pair is from Walmart.

IMG_0274

Guys my pom pom obsession has reached a new level. My car keys now have a mini pom pom so I don’t loose them. I know I know it’s so adorable. It doubles as a stress reliever because it’s so soft that you just get lost playing with it in your hands.

IMG_0275

This month I have been taking care of my tattoo a lot more. I have been applying this Tattoo Goo twice a day to help keep vibrant. I have also been trying to make sure I don’t get sick and my new favorite anti-bacterial hand gel has been this Eucalyptus + Spearmint from Bath and Body Works.

IMG_0278

SOY Candles are amazing! I recently discovered my new candle addiction. I have been burning this one for the last month and it’s still going strong.  I have also been adding two drops of the Young Living Lemon Vitality oil to my water every morning to help with my digestion and over all health.

What have been some of your favorite lifestyle favorites this past month?

Have a great Weekend and I will see you all on Monday!

Empties + I hit pan on – Beauty Products

IMG_0235

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Today I am excited to share with you all some beauty product that I have finished up + some that I have hit pan on, yay! As you all know my goal is to use up any product that I purchase. That is not the case for every product in my beauty collection. I thought I would share this historic moment with everyone I finished three products, plus hit pan on four products.

IMG_0235

I am hoping to keep this momentum going and will make this a series on the blog if you all enjoy knowing what products I finish up.

IMG_0232

First up are the products I managed to completely finish. I finished two concealers and a mini dry shampoo. I have been tackling quite a few face products because they have gotten out of control. I definitely need to stop buying concealers I have way too many.

IMG_0241

IMG_0234

These are all the products that I hit pan on and I am so excited because I normally don’t stick to one product long enough to see the pan. I’m crossing my fingers that these will soon be finished so I can start tackling other products in my makeup collection.

What are some products that you are working on finishing up? Do you get just as excited as I do when you finish a makeup product?

Have a great day and I will see you on Friday.

April Beauty Favorites 2018

IMG_0256

Happy Monday Everyone!

Today I am sharing with you my April favorites. I am excited that the warm weather is one step closer here in Northern Virginia. As you can see a few of my favorite things have that warm weather in mind.

IMG_0255

This month I was on a liquid lip kick and I am so excited about the new additions I have added to my makeup collection. They are definitely going to be a staple for the Summer months.

IMG_0257

First off let me tell you about a new brush set collection that I picked up off a random app. I will be doing a full review on these + a giveaway. These brushes are too good to not gift them to one of my readers.

IMG_0259

I finally switched up my concealers to something much more friendly to my wallet. Both of these drugstore concealers are the perfect mix to give me that “I slept 9+ hours last night” look. They aren’t drying or overly hydrating where they cause creasing.

IMG_0260

I hit pan on my beloved Tarte bronzer and I needed to find a cheaper alternative. I stumbled upon this face powder from Black Radiance and it gives me that beautiful natural bronzy look without breaking the bank. The only down side is that you get so much fall out from this product.

IMG_0261

I am obsessed with liquid lipsticks! I have already reviewed the Palladio X Case Holmes collection, which you can check out here. I will be reviewing the Jordana Sweet Cream Matte collection in the next week or so, but all I can say is that it is my new current favorite.

IMG_0263

Last but not least it’s this intensive foot mask that was much needed. I don’t really have time to pamper myself, but I try and take at least 20 minutes twice a day to do something nice for myself. This month that has been a foot mask + a face mask simultaneously and a episode of my favorite TV show Cloud Nine.

What are some of your April Beauty Favorites? Anything in particular you suggest me trying out?

Have a great day and I will see you on Wednesday.

Overall you can’t beat the price that these boxes retail for. It’s like buying one of the full size products and getting the rest of the box for free. I love that Target has made these available for those of us that like to try new products, but don’t have the money to spend on full size beauty products.

What do you all think of these beauty boxes? Do you like that you can pick these beauty boxes up at your local Target instead of a monthly subscription?

Have a great weekend see you on Monday!

PalladioxCaseyHolmes Liquid Lipsticks

IMG_0203

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Today I am reviewing a new liquid lipstick collaboration. It is the Palladio x Casey Holmes liquid lipsticks. Casey Holmes teamed up with Palladio beauty and she came out with three new liquid lipsticks. These liquid lipsticks retail for $10 each and available at Sally Beauty Supply and online here and here.

As you all know I am a huge liquid lipstick fan and when I saw the collaboration was announced I knew I had to get my hands on all three shades.

IMG_0202

The Packaging is clear plastic and it allows you to see the true color of the product. She picked three very wearable shades that work on a variety of different skin tones.

What they claim these liquid lipsticks do:

-a transfer-proof finish and unbelieveably long wear

-lightweight and rich matte colors that glide on effortlessly

IMG_0168

Georgia – peachy-nude.

IMG_0194

Ob-sessed- a rich berry.

IMG_0176

Rescue- A warm taupe.

IMG_0196

These liquid lipsticks aren’t the most long wearing I have tried. They do stay on longer than most others. If you don’t eat a salad or something messy you may get away with not having to touch up. When I’ve worn all three colors I’ve had to touch up the corners of my mouth, but nothing else.

I would recommend these if you are in the marker for new liquid lipsticks.

Have you tried these out yet? Are you a fan of Palladio Beauty?

Have a great day! See you all on Friday.
