Thedcblogger September Meetup

Happy Friday Everyone!

Today I want to recap my experience at the DC blogger event. For those of you who may not be aware there is a blogger union in Washington, DC. Actually there are also located in multiple other places as well. Check out the official blogger union page here for more information.

On September 7th I was able to partake in an event thrown by the DC Blogger union and it was so much fun. This event focused on tips and tricks for bloggers and the speaker was Jacqueline from The Modalista. She was absolutely the sweetest and had a lot of helpful tips for anyone starting off in this avenue.

The venue was held at the national harbor and it was such a beautiful morning next to the water. My picture don’t do the scenery justice. Definitely a space I would encourage anyone to go and check out.

Have a great weekend and I will see you all on Monday!

Las Vegas, Nevada

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Today I am recapping my trip to Vegas. I was fortunate enough to be able to go during Labor Day weekend for one of my friends Bachelorette party. I got to see some parts of Las Vegas, but definitely not all of it. We got to see Magic Mike Live and have a spa date at the LINQ.

I’m so excited that I got to experience Vegas with all these wonderful ladies. I am so excited for my friend’s wedding in two weeks in Austin, TX. I hope you all enjoyed this recap.

See you all on Friday!

Welcome to Nyrmirez

I can’t believe this is happening! I want to welcome you back to my little corner of the Internet. This has been a long time coming and I am so excited that I can officially reclaim my voice and my blog back from the cobwebs that laid on it. I have so much to share and I hope you will all join me in this new chapter of my life. So with that being said let me reintroduce myself.

Hi! My name is Michelle and I run Nyrmirez and I am so excited to be back behind these keyboards. What can you expect as a reader… Well honesty, realness and a lot of makeup, baking, DIY’s and travel. I want this little corner of the web to be a bright and cheerful place for anyone that stumbles upon it. You can also expect some hard topics such as mental health, unhappiness and managing how to be a adult in this world. I promise to keep things fun, but genuine.

Thank you for stopping by and giving me another chance at this blogging thing.

Heritage Bakery & Cafe Cake Decorating Class

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Today I am sharing with you all one of my birthday presents, a unique experience that made me use my cake decorating skills which had been dormant for a little while. My amazing boyfriend purchase a cake decorating class for my 29th birthday in a small city about an hour and a half away. The class was held in a super cute bakery and cafe. It was everything I needed and more. If you are curious as to what specific class I took you can check out their website here.

I was lucky enough to be able to share the experience with three other amazing women and of course the owner of the shop. In the two hours we spent together we had lovely conversations revolving why it’s totally okay to eat all of our buttercream frosting and enjoying life’s little pleasures. Below are two other cakes made by the other women in the class.

I absolutely recommend taking a class that allows you to take a yummy treat home. The cake was absolutely delicious.

Have a great day! See you all next Monday.

Today’s look is a very personal one I created as a wish for next year that is so quickly approaching. I’m specifically referring to my love life. I wanted to channel what I want out of a relationship in 2019, and this is what I came up with. A darker, sultry and sparkly look that makes me feel happy when I look at it. Festive Friday: Dermstore Skin Care Collectiono

Happy Friday Everyone!

Welcome to winter Wednesdays on my corner of the internet. I am so excited for all of the awesome things I am going to share with you all this month. To start off I am talking about skincare and making sure your skin is protected.

I picked up this skincare kit at Target and it contains:

0.5 fl oz Sunday Riley GOOD GENES All-In-One Lactic Acid Treatment
0.07oz SkinMedica TNS Eye Repair
0.5oz Lancer Skincare The Method: Polish
15g Tula Skincare Hydrating Day & Night Cream
1 fl oz DHC Deep Cleansing Oil
1 set Erna Laszlo Multi-Task Eye Serum Mask
100ml Bioderma Sensibio H2O
10ml Colorescience Sunforgettable Total Protection Face Shield SPF 50 (PA+++)

I wanted to highlight four products from this skin care collection that I completely feel in love with when I was trying this out.

This Deep Cleansing oil completely shocked me at how light weight it is. I was one of the most lightweight and cleansing oils I have ever used. No sticky residue and washes off with water like a dream.

These multi-task eye serum masks were such a cool experience because they were and instant fix to my puff eyes.

I focused on my eyes this particular pampering and I had to try out the This Eyes cream in this set. I loved how light this eye is and that it can be used twice a day.

I hope you all enjoyed this mini review and that you are taking some time to take care of your skin this holiday season.

Have a great weekend and I will see you on Monday!

Covergirl Peacock Flare Mascara

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Perla

I hope you all enjoyed this fun burgundy holiday look. I hope it inspired you to step out of the box this Holiday season.

Happy Friday Everyone!

I am so excited to kick off my Festive Fridays with this amazing recap of the Alexandria, VA Boat parade that is held in Old Town. My roommates and I scheduled a fun afternoon exploring shops and eating great local food as we waited for the annual boat parade. This was the perfect way to start the Holiday Season and I can’t wait for you all to see what else I have in store for you this whole month.

I would highly encourage you to check out your own local festivities in your surrounding areas.
