Simple DIY -Target Wooden Peg Board

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Today I am sharing with you all a super easy DIY. It takes a few minutes to do, but transform this kid like peg board into something more chic. I picked this peg board from Target. It was only $3 from the dollar section and I knew I could spray paint this into something more modern.

I loved the way this simple DIY turned out all you really need is a can of spray paint in the color of your choosing and BAM you have a unique peg board custom to your style.

Please let me know if you enjoy these kinds of blog post so I can do more of them in the future.

What has been your favorite DIY that you have done?

Have a great day! I will see you on Friday.

DIY Deadpool Themed Jean Jacket

Happy Friday Everyone!

Today I am sharing with you a really awesome DIY project I had been working on for the new release of Deadpool 2. I really wanted to wear something that showed my love for Deadpool, but not dress up in costume. I compromised on this jean jacket and at the end of it all I had such a great time watching Deadpool 2.

IMG_0529Step One:

Use a jacket you already have, or find one at the thrift store or at your local retail store that maybe on clearance. I wanted to add more texture to my jacket and decide to spray paint it and sponge on some white paint all over it (this step can be optional).

Step two:

Buy a assortment of iron on patches and place them in the areas you feel work best with the jacket. I also purchased iron on letters and numbers to add Deadpool’s last name and the year the comic was created.

Step Three:

Follow the directions on each of the patches and apply heat. You can also use fabric glue to apply the patches if you don’t own a iron.

(Optional) Step Four:

My iron on letters had me peel off the plastic bit off of them to complete my look.

The finished product!

This DIY was so much fun to create and I am so excited to try to create more wearable DIY’s in the future. I hope you all enjoyed.

Are any of you Deadpool fans? How about any other superhero?

Have a great weekend!

Spring Wreath DIY

Happy Monday Everyone!

Today I am sharing with you one of my first spring DIYs. I started this DIY last year and never actually finished it. Call me level 10 procrastinator, but sometimes things happen and you have to put projects away until next year and that is exactly what happened. All of the supplies I use are actually very affordable. The flowers come from the dollar store and the wire base comes from Walmart for a few bucks. I used floral wire and my glue gun to secure it in place.

Do you have any spring DIYs you are wanting to complete? Any suggestions for my second spring DIY?

Have a great day! See you on Wednesday.

Si Se Pudo – Graduation Cap

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Today I am sharing with you all a closer look at my graduation cap. I have been working on this bad boy for the last month and I finally got it all together. I am absolutely in love with it. I hope this serves as inspiration for anyone looking to make something similar.

What you will need:

Graduation Cap

Your choice of scrapbook paper for background and letter

A border of your choosing (I used a pearl border used for scrap booking)

A custom bow found here.

Small figurines for decoration (purchased at the craft store)

Honestly, this was a bit of a trial and error type of DIY and I suggest you practice before you start working on the actual material you are going to use. I used stencils for the letter and hot glued the rest of the items on.

Hopefully this is helpful!

Good luck.

D.I.Y Pillows

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

I am completely obsessed with DIY’s right now. I know last Monday I posted a similar D.I.Y where I customized a pencil pouch well I knew I had to try this on a much larger scale so I’m back at it again but this time with pillows! I actually made these for my cousin to gift to her for her birthday. She is moving into her own apartment and I figured it would be fitting to incorporate some school pride and a cute fun saying.

I purchased Ikea pillow covers and pillow inserts and then followed this video step by step.  They even provide the stencil of the Good Vibes Only pillow.

I promise not to post any more D.I.Y’s for a while. I just had to share how cute these turned out!

Any D.I.Y’s you think I should try? Any D.I.Y blogs you recommend?

Have a great day!

Technology Problems + D.I.Y Personalized Pencil Pouch

Happy Monday Everyone!

I know it’s been a whole week since I have posted and I am so sorry for just being absent like that. I finally got my computer fixed, but I was missing iPhoto to edit my pictures and I didn’t know what to do. You can’t post a blog post without any pictures right? That’s just cruel. I’m still working on getting all of my old programs onto my new hard drive, but please bear with me.

I was itching to make a D.I.Y especially since school is just around the corner. I need to update a new pencil pouch I bought for less than three dollars and  this is what I came up with. I did take a few pictures with my phone to show you all the process. I know they are not the best quality but they get the point across. I will be posting more personalized D.I.Y’s with better pictures.

I got the inspiration for this D.I.Y from this video. They will also walk you through how to do this step by step.

Here is what you will need:

Freezer Paper

X-Acto knife

Fabric Paint

A Printed Out Design

Sponge Paint Brush

I am so excited to rep my school name on my pencil pouch this year. I have a feeling I will be receiving many compliments on this.

Do you enjoy D.I.Y’s? Do you want to see more of these? Let me know!

Have a great day!

How to: Bridal Shower Dessert Table

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Today I am sharing with you the Dessert table I put together for my friends bridal shower. First off sorry for the lack of pictures, but my camera decided to reject my memory card and it pretty much died after that. Here are the few pictures I  could capture.

I decided to keep this table simple and have some of the brides favorite things.

-Mini Donuts (Chocolate and Powder)

-Mini Cupcakes from a local bakery in a variety of flavors

-Fresh cut strawberries

-A homemade cake

-Two assortments of loose candy (chocolate)

The theme of the shower was gold and red with a few splashes of white.

-Gold table cloth from Amazon

-Small Gold Blackboard from Target Dollar Section

-D.I.Y’ed the cupcake stands from plates from the dollar tree

-D.I.Y’ed Banner with the brides name

I hope you enjoyed this Bridal Shower post. Next week I will be sharing a few more picture of the shower.

Have a great day and I will see you on Friday!
