Review: L’OREAL Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation

Happy Monday Everyone!

Today I am sharing with you my thought on a drugstore foundation that I was gifted by one of my lovely friends. To be honest I didn’t pay much attention to this foundation when it first came out. It may have been the fact that it said glow in the packaging and may have put me off from even considering it. As you all know I have super oily skin. Like disco ball shiny skin a few hours after I apply my make up. I try and stay away from using too much highlighter and try and keep my skin as matte as possible letting the oils from my skin be the dewiness everyone else sees through out the first few hours.

I wanted to share what they say this foundation will do for you and then talk about my experience:

-All-day glow

     -Up to 24 HR foundation

Discover the new pro finish of longwear: up to 24 hour wear with a hydrating glow. Lightweight and creamy, this long lasting foundation goes on smooth with a glow finish that lasts. With medium coverage, it instantly hides imperfections for a clear complexion. The hydrating foundation with SPF is ideal for normal to dry skin.

So honestly I have a love hate relationship with this foundation. I absolutely love how it looks on my face the first hour I have it on. After that it just doesn’t look right, partially because of how oily my skin is. I blot my face quite frequently and then the foundation just looks dull and matte. I have also noticed that half way through the day it rubs off on my nose and on my chin. More often than not if I am home and have to leave again in the afternoon I will reapply more foundation on my nose and chin and sometimes on my forehead. Everywhere else my foundation stays put.

If you have oily skin I would suggest you pass on this foundation. It’s too much of a gamble to waste $12-$15 on when you can find better foundations that will work with your skin type.

Have you tried this foundation? What are you thoughts on it?

Have a great day!
