Chit Chat: I moved & Starting Grad School

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

It feel like it’s been forever since I have written a blog post. Many of you know that I have been busy moving cities to start graduate school this fall. Most of the time I try and plan most of my activities out so I can be semi-prepared for what could/can go wrong, but with moving things are different. You are uprooting your whole life and nothing can prepare you for anything that comes your way!

For example I got to drive a UHAUL truck something I never thought I would actually ever get to do. I had some help from my family and a friend of course!

I learned that you don’t alway know what time it is while moving and sometimes a simple meals is far more appreciated than actually cooking or leaving your apartment for some crappy take out.

Overall I am finally settled! I can’t wait to share with you some of my favorite corners of my room and my desk. I am also pumped for the start of grad school next monday!

What are some tips and tricks you would like to share for others that are moving soon?

See you all on Thursday!

Congrats on getting settled! It’s such a huge deal. I moved from Alaska to Oregon last year and my goodness it was so stressful! My tips: plan your route, bring a buddy if you can (makes the long hours go by faster), buy an audiobook, pack a variety of snacks, and keep a positive attitude! It might go sideways sometimes, but really, it’ll all work out in the end.

Thank you! I can only imagine how stressful that must have been. Great tips. I always made sure I kept a positive attitude because sometime that’s the only thing you can control also snacks never hurt! Thanks for stopping by.
