The Balm Cosmetics Makeup Haul

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

I feel like I am so late on this train, that is the Balm Cosmetics train. Before adding these lovely three makeup products to my collection I was the proud owner of their Nude’tude Eyeshadow palette and that was the extent of knowing their brand. It just so happened that Hautelook was having a sale on the Balm cosmetics a few weeks ago and I jumped on the opportunity to try a few more of their products. Here is what I picked up.

The Fratboy Shadow/Blush

If you’re wondering why my blush looks a bit messed up it’s because shipping was not kind to this product and it almost broke. Luckily I was able to salvage it and begin to enjoy it. This is a beautiful blush it is such a natural color on the cheeks it is an everyday kind of color that won’t have you questioning your blush choice. It is very blend able and pigmented so one swipe will leave you naturally flushed.

Mary-Lou Manizer

This is a gold base highlighter that illuminates the skin when applied correctly. This product can be an it or miss depending on what kind of hand you have with it. Apply too much and you may look like a disco ball so a little goes a long way with this product.

Sexy Mama Anti-Shine Translucent Powder

This powder is quite chalky and can come off looking a bit cake-y when applied with a heavy hand. This powder doesn’t prevent shine from coming through and it does not do a good job at keeping your make up from coming off. I was quite disappointed by this product to be honest.

Overall I am glad I got to try a few more things from the Balm Cosmetics. Sometimes you may never discover a hidden gem if you don’t go out and look for it. So liking 2 out of the 3 products isn’t so bad.

Have you ever tried the Balm Cosmetics? Any products you would recommend from them?

I hope you have a great day and I will see you on Friday!

The Balms packaging is one of the cutest out on the market they are also so creative with the names. I have to admit that’s part of why I wanted to try out these products.

I have only ever tried one product from The Balm, but I loved it! It was a concealer called “Time Balm” and it worked great, but I really loved the fact that it was good for my skin and it felt nice on, too! 🙂
