My Skincare Routine.

Happy Monday Everyone!

First off my apologizes for not posting last Friday. I was not feeling very well and decided to take a rest day in hopes that I felt better for the weekend. For today’s post I wanted to share with you all my skincare routine. Now before I begin I want to say that i am no skin expert and I don’t think I ever will be. These are just the things that work best for my skin at the moment.

You will find that I  have a very heavy percentage of drugstore products and very little high-end products. I have tried my fair share of high-end gems and I honestly feel that the drugstore products I am featuring do the same thing as those high-end gems. Let’s talk a little bit about my skin before I go through what I am using. I have a acne and eczema prone skin, and I have an oily complexion as well. Whelp doesn’t that sound just lovely and a handful?! If you said YES, you are correct I have struggled to find a nice balance for my skin and especially when it comes to my skincare routine.

These are the things that seem to work for me right now and I’m hopefully this helps a few of you on this skincare journey we are all on.

Equate Beauty Exfoliating Wet Cleansing Towelettes

When it comes to removing my makeup I like to make sure my skin is as clean and free of makeup as possible. I use these makeup removers in combinations with the Garnier Clean Nourishing cleansing Oil for a really clean face I can feel. I use to buy the brand makeup removers, but realized that these do the same thing as the more expensive named brands.

Garnier Clean Nourishing cleansing Oil & Oil- Free Acne Wash

I have been using this oil for about 5 months now and I can honestly say that my skin feels so much happier and my makeup comes off very easily. Don’t let the Dry Skin sign fool you this does wonders for any skin type.

A few months ago I started to use the Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash and remember why I enjoyed it when I was in high school. This face wash has little micro-beds that give my face a very clean feeling. Let’s not forget the true reason why I am using this, salicylic acid for those pimples I can’t get rid of.

Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque & KIKO Purifying Mask

When my skin is going crazy I like to use one of these two masks and recently I have been using them more and more. Both of these masks have a unique texture that I love. The Queen Helene is a tingling, fresh scent type of mask. The KIKO is a very grainy, calm type of mask. They both leave my face feeling great and refreshed.

Boots expert sensitive gentle refreshing toner & Clinique even better clinical dark spot corrector

When it comes to toner I am not the type to stick with one toner my whole life, but with this one I feel like I might consider that commitment. This is a very refreshing, gentle and mild toner that does not irritate my face and it can be used every single day without worrying about drying your skin.

I have recently added this dark spot corrector serum to my regimen. I will link to the review I did on this here, because I absolutely love this.

What are your skincare must haves? Any you would recommend me?

Have a great start to your week!

See you on Wednesday!

  1. I have meaning to try the Garnier cleansing oil. It’s seems scary when you have a breakout though. May I ask what skin type are you?
