Empties #2

It feels like forever since I wrote my Empties #1 post. When I wrote it I didn’t think that I was actually going to keep up with using up all of the products I had in mind. Well I feel very proud that I did manage to stick to it and used up quite a few number of products again.

Impressive amount huh? I feel like I have enough momentum to keep going and declutter my makeup/beauty collection.

Let’s start off by going through the big products I managed to finally run out of. The Vaseline Cocoa butter seemed like a bottomless pit of lotion. I finally ran out last Wednesday and I was a bit sad about that. I guess when you get use to having something you tend to miss it after it is gone. The next product is my Michael Todd Moisture Elite Non-oily hydrating lotion. I can’t say that I am going to really miss this one, it is an okay moisturizer. Lastly I used up another The righteous butter from Soap and Glory, no explanation needed.

Here are the smaller products that used up. I used up another one of the Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration day lotion. I think I might end up buying a the full size. I finally used up a small pot of Erase Paste by Benefit and boy did this last me a while. I finished the Ole Henriksen truth serum collagen booster and I didn’t see anything new with my skin so I will be skipping out on that. Last but not least I finished another Burt’s Bees lip balm.

Whew! That was a lot. I still have 6-7 more products I am slowly chipping away at and hopefully by the time I leave for France I can get of them and make room for new stuff.

Have you done a beauty purging lately? Finished any products that have been living in your vanity for like EVER?

Have a happy Friday!

When I first started blogging, I’d buy drugstore makeup because I had heard about it and it would be on sale but those items quickly piled up and I ended up throwing a ton out :-/ I learned a big lesson on how I have to be more picky over which items I purchase. Now every time I get the urge to buy something, I think about my broken car and how I need to save to trade it in and get a new car. Haha. That said, I prepaid for a yr subscription of Glossybox so that’s a great pick me up every month 🙂 I love that sample sizes are so easily used up!
