First off Happy New Year’s Eve everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful and safe New Years Day.
I wanted to share my outfit with you all. Yes! this is super casual, but I have to work and I didn’t feel like dressing up too much. Sometimes the best outfits are the casual ones. I also wanted to share some family New Years Eve traditions at the end of the post so keep reading!
Top: Express
Jeans: Aeropostale
Boots: Kohl’s
Necklace: NY & CO.
Every New Year’s Eve my family and I stay up to watch the ball drop. Typically you are supposed to toast the beginning of the New Year with something bubbly aka Champagne. I always drink a nice glass of water to begin the year of right. Being hydrated is the best thing I can do for my body right as your bringing in a new year.
Ever since I can remember we scarf down 12 grapes while we count the last ten seconds of the year. I asked my mom why did we do such a strange tradition? She replied with saying each grape signifies the 12 months of the upcoming year, and you eat them as fast as you can without choking for good luck! I have been doing this for so long that her answer was “normal”.
Whether you have any traditions or not I wish you a very Happy New Year Eve with all of your loved ones. I wish everyone of you a amazing 2014 may all your resolutions and wishes come true! Stay safe and warm and I will talk to you in 2014!
