Review: Thoughtful Treasures Best-Sellers Set by Tarte

Hello everyone! I am so excited to bring this post today, yep you guessed it I am reviewing this Tarte set.
I picked this up when Sephora was having their VIB Sale. Originally this cost $19 and can be found at Sephora or the Tarte Website.

The limited-edition set features:
*deluxe maraca oil
*deluxe Amazonian clay 12-hour blush in limited edition thankful (golden pink)
*deluxe LipSurgence™ skintuitive lip tint in energy

I absolutely love this blush it’s a very natural and wearable color which means that I can use only one swipe and I get the most perfect everyday flush. So I maybe a bit weird for saying this but I think I enjoy the smaller “sample” size blushes better than the full size ones. There is something cute and very storage friendly about them. I feel like I would never be able to use up a full size taste blush.

Can we just stop and talk about this lip product for a second. This is such a cool concept that has been around for a really long time now. When you apply this color it changes with the temperature of you body into a perfect shade for you. HOW FREAKING COOL IS THAT! The color is different on everyone and is a bit of a surprise in this set. I will go on a limb and say the color you will most likely get will be a shade of a brighter pink. Overall the quality of this product is great just like the other lipsurgence Tarte has.

AHH the Maracuja Oil everyone has been seeing all around youtube. I will be honest I’ve only used this for about two weeks. You can’t tell a whole lot about something in two weeks. I haven’t used it more because it’s not a good product it’s because my skin has been super dry in the evening/nights. This provides about 65% of the moisture my skin needs. Meaning that I still have to apply something else on my face after it. If you known anything about me you know by the time the night rolls around I am lazy when it comes to my skin care routine. Having Eczema can really put in perspective how many products you put on your face (less products = skin is happy). I will keep this and try it come spring and summer time. I think it will be the right amount of moisture/ hydration I will need. If you have tried it do you love it or hate it?

Have you tried any of these products by Tarte? What is your favorite?

  1. I’ve been meaning to pick up more Tarte products but I just have so many other products to go through first. I can’t bring myself to get the cute 3 blush set off QVC 🙁 Not this year, anyway. The lipsurgence reminds me of the Dior lip glow balm, its the same concept but there’s something luxurious about the sleek packaging. You should try it some day! And I’m curious to know what the oil smells like; I’ve been using an oil (orange, almond, lemon, avocado, olive…) mix moisturizer I was given to review and I actually really like it. Mine smells like orange 🙂 Anyways, it gives me piece of mind compared to chemical moisturizers. That kind of defeats the purpose when I put all my chemically makeup on after though. LOL

    1. Your right it kind of does defeat the purpose when you really think about it. So the oil to me does not have a scent which was a big plus. Scented products irritate my skin every so often so I like to make sure that the products I put on my face have no smell of fragrance. I will have to try the Dior lip glow balm some day. I’m sure it’s luxurious packaging Dior always has very classy packaging which doesn’t hurt. I also decided to stop my self from buying the QVC 3 blush set. I really don’t need any more makeup!

  2. I saw it but I didn’t pick it up for some reason 🙁 I might need to run to ulta and pick it up though, because that blush is too pretty.
