Style Saturday: Polka dots and boots

Happy Saturday Everyone!
I am so excited to be bringing you a cute/stylish (let’s hope so) outfit of the day. I will try to pick one outfit a week to show you and hopefully get more suggestions on how to use each piece.

Excuse the hair I had a lot of things going on and just wasn’t feeling putting it up. That meant my hair was natural and free which made me like this outfit even more, go figure!

These are the booties I featured in this post and I had been really scared of wearing them. I did wear them with tights and a skirt but that has been done plenty of times. I wanted to play with them with pants for a more comfortable look. Since I am so short (5’0 ft) I rolled up them a tiny bit so the outfit didn’t make me look like a 5-year-old (this happens a lot).

I have to confess that I am completely lost on how to style these boots they are a weird height and they really don’t flatter my legs when worn with regular jeans. Style is about trying new things that make you come out of your comfort zone right? So why not start with booties *what I kept telling myself*.

How would you rock each piece? Any ideas you would like to give me?

‘Tis a cute outfit – your height isn’t a big deal at all when the clothes fit properly or are adjusted as you did here. Those boots would be difficult on a lot of women but in general look good with opaque Black or Brown tights/pantyhose and knee length or above flared skirts, particularly pleated ones in Autumn shades e.g. Maroon to Burnt Orange.

I love your blazer and would probably wear that the most for smart-casual outfits 🙂

Could you take a look at my blog and let me know what you think of any of the outfits? I’d love to read your input! fashionthatpays.wordpress.com
