Review: Michael Todd Toners -Day 16

When I first started getting into taking care of my skin I heard a lot about Moisturizers, eye creams, Day creams, serums. I never really heard anyone talk about toners and the different kinds. For a really long time I stayed away from toners I was under the impression that they dried out your skin, were bad for acne and that only older women needed to use them.

It wasn’t until I started watching youtube videos that catered to skincare that I was pulled out of this toner hating world. I understand that toner can help your skin and help keep your face balanced. I have been “trying out” these two toners for the 9 months. I finally feel like I have used them enough to be able to do a good review.

If you are interested in purchasing these toners you can go here

The bottle contains: 250 ml / 8.4 fl oz
This retail for $18.00

Lets start off with the Blue Green Algae Antibacterial Toner. I purchased this to help with my acne. The bottle states that it is highly moisturizing, anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial for all skin types. This toner also aids in treatment and prevention of acne.

This toner has helped me with my acne quite a bit. This isn’t going to get rid of the blemishes completely but it will help reduce the amount that you get on your face. The more you use this product the better it will help with acne. If you have sensitive skin this will be a good toner to use, it is gentle. If you have exfoliated your face you might want to be aware that it could sting depending on how hard you exfoliated. This does have a woodsy smell but not a unpleasant one. Overall I will continue to repurchase this product.

This is the Organic Lemon AHA + DMAE Toner. I purchased this to help with my dark spots that my acne has left. The bottle states that it helps exfoliates and firms skin. It improves skin tone and texture. Normal to oily and problem skin can use this toner.

Since this does have lemon in it I though it would a great way to incorporate a ingredient that is used to fade away dark spots or marks left by acne. Overall I used this for 3 months and it did do a good job at slowly fading a few of my dark spots. This is no miracle worker but over time I feel like it can help reduce the appearance of dark spots. This does a very strong lemon scent so if your not a fan of lemon you might want to skip it. Once I get my acne under control I will be stocking up on this toner to use for at least 6 months to see if it can help reduce more of my acne scarring.

    1. I received that as a free gift with purchase just recently and it appears I am allergic to something they use in the mask. I wish I could use it but I had to give it away. Ipsy Glam bag is such a good way to try new products I love it! I hope you have a great day too!

      1. I hate when that happens! All the excitement of trying a new product fades away. Well what I always tell myself is that for every product I’m allergic to there is one I’m not. This keeps me excited to try new products.
